Overland Park Regional Medical Center, located in the heart of Overland Park, KS, boasts a 24/7 emergency department, the ability to receive life threatening transports via Life Flight helicopter landing pad, a 26-bed private room ICU and the only Level III NICU in the state. This 244-bed Level II Acute Care facility just recently celebrated 25 years of quality service to residents in a 150-mile radius of its campus. The ideal Trauma Surgery Director is a BE/BC General Surgeon with a fellowship in Traumatology or Surgical Critical Care, an active ATLS provider status, and an interest in being a strong internal and community leader for the trauma program. Your job will include leading the trauma service and its staff in nearly 1000 cases per year, acting as medical director for surgical patients in the ICU, participating in trauma call at a minimum of 7 days per month, and practicing general surgery on a part-time basis. You will also serve as the course director for ATLS and PHTLS training programs.
