1.Position Summary Provides continuing, comprehensive health maintenance and medical care to all patients who need any type of care related to Pulmonary/Critical Care field of profession2.Position Accountability /Job Duties 2.1.Administrative duties 2.1.1Participate in the departmental administrative work e.g. auditing2.1.2To be adherent to the department Scope of Service and actively participate in all department activities and duties2.1.3To be adherent to all IMC P&P, by-laws strategic plan, rules and regulation.2.1.4To be adherent for mission, vision , goals and practice guidelines in IMC2.1.5To actively participate in all IMC committees and tasks force that he is assigned to2.1.6To be adherent to the JCI, CBAHI and ARAMCO quality standards of care2.1.7To be able to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments of the IMC,CCF , other local agencies, vendors, patients, their families and other interested parties. 2.1.8Adheres to current organizational performance improvement priorities2.1.9Makes recommendations and take actions to improve structure, system or outcomes2.1.10Participates in quality studies through data collection2.2.Clinical duties 2.2.1To establish effective physician/patient relationships by using appropriate interpersonal communication skills to provide quality health care. 2.2.2To have the knowledge, attitude and skills in the field of Pulmonary/Critical Care. 2.2.3Provides inpatient care and runs outpatient clinics in his name and sole responsibility. These services are in the field of Pulmonary/Critical Care.2.2.4Performs diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for which he has been granted specific privileges based on his training, experience and skills.2.2.5Provides Pulmonary/Critical Care subspecialty consultations to physicians of other specialties and/or subspecialties.2.2.6To be adherent to his/her credentialing and privileging criteria (clinics, inpatient, OR procedure, etc.)2.2.7To be adherent to on-call rota as set by the Section Head and Chairman of the Department2.2.8To assess and monitor his team (Specialists, Staff Physicians, etc.)2.2.9Assess and manage acute and chronic problems frequently encountered in the field of Pulmonary/Critical Care.2.2.10Provide and coordinate comprehensive care of complex and severe problems using biomedical, social, personal, economic, and community resources, including consultation and referral.2.2.11To support a coordinated relationship with CCF.2.3.Educational/Research duties2.3.1To participate in annual performance review of all medical staff2.3.2To participate in continuous professional development of all junior staff.2.3.3To support research and medical education as set by the IMC policies and procedures2.3.4To assess, monitor and participate in a high quality research and medical educational programs (preferably in coordination with CCF)2.3.5Develop proficiency in assessing and using computer-based resources for improving their knowledge and performance in patient care.2.3.6To be evidence base oriented.2.3.7Integrate the population factors of heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into a patients care.3.Position Qualification 3.1.Education 3.1.1Approved structured training program in Pulmonary/Critical Care.3.1.2Completion of all requirements of the Saudi Council of Health care professionals and complete the required number of hours of continuing medical education to maintain an active licensure. 3.2.Experience3.2.1Three years post North American Board or five years post other equivalent boards.3.2.2The candidate must have the expertise and skills to effectively accomplish the principal duties described herein.
