Chief, Section of Head & Neck Cancer SurgeryScott & White /Texas A&M College of MedicineThe Department of Surgery of Scott & White and Texas A&M College of Medicine is seeking an outstanding BC/BE and fellowship trained Head & Neck surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to be the Section Chief of Head and Neck Cancer Surgery. The selected Candidate will be responsible for the care and management of patients, the teaching and supervision of residents and will also be expected to perform translational research. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates truly interested in developing an academic career.Scott & White has recently invested heavily in Cancer Research, recently opening both the new Cancer Treatment Center (CTC) and Cancer Research Institute (CRI) at its main campus and hospital in Temple, Texas. The CRI is only second GNP in the entire state of Texas, hosting a complete phase I clinical trials unit as well as and a phase II clinical research team at the CTC. The CRI is a unique, non-profit, fully FDA compliant vertically integrated contract research organization drug development facility achieving institute and client-sponsored INDAs of novel therapeutic agents for malignancies and other diseases. The CTC is an NIH funded, highly successful CCOP.Scott & White is a fully integrated health system and is the largest multi-specialty practice in Texas, and the sixth largest group practice in the nation.
