We have a great opportunity for a Full Time Family Practice Physician to work in an Outpatient Military clinic. The clinic offers a comprehensive primary care services to non Active duty patients age newborn to 65, enrolled in TRICARE Prime. This is a Civilian Position located at a Branch Medical Clinic of Naval Medical Center San Diego. QuarterLine Consulting Services (QuarterLine) provides professional health care staffing services to military hospitals and health clinics across the United States. We are currently seeking a full-time General Surgeon for a potential position at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The General Surgeon will provide routine services Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:00am to 10:00pm. A normal workweek consists of between 40-50 hours, which includes in-patient coverage. The General Surgeon is responsible for inpatient coverage of their admitted patients during the week. Weekend coverage is provided by the on-call surgeon after the patients are signed out.The General Surgeon will share rotating on-call schedules with the general surgery staff on a schedule established by the Department Chief. Rotation for weekday call normally occurs every third weekday from the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. If a holiday falls on a weekday following the evening call, the on-call shift is until 6:00 a.m. the morning after the holiday. Weekend call normally occurs every 1-2 weekends per month from the hours of 7:00 a.m. Friday to 7:00 a.m. Monday. The General Surgeon may also be required to support academic activities by taking part in precepting and evaluating performance of Family Practice and Medical students, to include RN First Assist Training.Qualifications* Have and maintain a valid, unrestricted state license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia. * Have a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number.* Have successfully completed an internship and residency in an accredited U.S. General Surgery Program.* Must be board certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Surgery.* Have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).* Competitive remuneration as an independent contractor with QuarterLine
