Geisinger Health System is seeking an experienced, Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Cardiologist to lead its Echocardiography laboratory and serve as a clinical cardiologist at Janet Weis Childrens Hospital, a dedicated childrens hospital, located in Danville, PA. The position involves in patient and outpatient care in a large health network and hospital.The pediatric cardiology team at Geisingers Janet Weis Childrens Hospital applies a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach with an extensive outreach program. The position includes leadership and administrative and clinical duties. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and managerial skills, teaching interest and ability, as well as clinical proficiency. Exceptional echocardiography skills, including Transesophageal and Intraoperative is a must. Experience and interest in caring for patients with complex congenital heart disease in fetuses, neonates, children and adults is essential.This is an opportunity to work within a vibrant and actively growing pediatric CVTS department. Programs include surgical treatment of all forms of congenital heart defects including single ventricle repairs, interventional cardiac catheterization, pediatric intensive care, adult cogenital heart disease, ECMO, and helicopter transport. Facilities include ICAEL certified echo lab, advanced imaging center including cardiac MRI, fetal medicine program, 39 bed level III NICU, 9 bed PICU, and 3 additional pediatric cardiac ICU beds staffed 24/7 by attending physicians.Janet Weis Childrens Hospital- Is a dedicated full-service tertiary and quaternary childrens hospital (located on the campus of Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA) with a full-service hospitalist program, fully-staffed pediatric and neonatal ICUs, and a child life program.
