The Department of Psychiatry is looking for candidates (PGY 5/6) who are interested in doing one (1) year of training in the following tracks in Community / Public Psychiatry and Psychiatric Rehabilitation. The main focus will be on systems theory and practice, specifically as it applies to trauma / family interventions. Goals include the implementation of innovative Cognitive Behavioral programs working with severe mental illness and learning to negotiate complex systems. Academic activities will involve presentations at national and international conferences and participation in research. Trainees might choose to work full-time in one track or combine their training from two of the above-mentioned tracks. Teaching opportunities are available.These positions will be available July 1, 2010.Salary ranges from: PGY V $ 76,710 $ 81,826PGY VI $ 82,878 $ 87,991
