The internists also provide consultative services for the other physicians within this 60-physician medical group. Service is provided at the Albert Lea Medical Center clinic, hospital, emergency department, hemodialysis unit, cardiac rehabilitation, nursing homes, board and cares, HealthReach, patients homes, and any other necessary locations in the community. Specific services beyond consultation and follow up and routine care include:*Daily rounds in the adjoining hospital five or six days per week, call coverage in rotation*Nursing home rounds as scheduled and needed. *Stress testing, EKG review, and Holter monitor reading.*Pulmonary function test reading, screening sleep study reading (overnight oximetry), hemodynamic monitoring, and temporary pacemaker implantation as needed and credentialed.*Lumbar puncture, flexible sigmoidoscopy, thoracentesis, paracentesis, minor skin biopsy or treatments.*Intensive medical cares including ventilator management and thrombolytic use.CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS: Board Eligible/Board Certified physician Ideal physician should be a team player, working closely with multi-specialty group members and communicate well with patients and colleagues.
