Fabulous Family Practice Opportunity with no on-call or no overtime.Civilian Full-Time Contract Position. Contract goes till June 30, 2010 with the option to renew in one year terms up till four times at MacDill Air Force Base. The 6th Medical Group at the base supports combat capability of the 6th Air Mobility Wing, USCENTCOM, USSOCOM, and over 50 tenant units by providing administrative, logistical, and ancillary medical support serving 106,000 beneficiaries in DoDs largest single catchment area. Through four squadrons, the medical group offers a variety of Primary Care services to its beneficiary population including: ambulatory surgery, acute care, family practice, pediatrics, mental health, optometry, immunizations, flight medicine, gynecology and dental services. www.macdill.af.milThe contractor will be responsible for examining, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating enlisted Men & Women and their families in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include, but not limited too the following:1. Examination of patients, formulation differential diagnostic plans, defines and orders required diagnostic testing.2. Interpretation of examination findings and test results, and implementation of treatment plans,3. Telephone Triage4. Providing primary & secondary preventive maintenance careMalpractice is fully covered under the Federal Tort Claim Act. These positions have the flexibility of being contractual or employment with benefits.Schedule: Mon- Friday 7:30am to 4:30pmQualifications and Experience Requirements:1. Must be board certified in the specialty of family practice 2. Must have completed an accredited family practice residency 3. Must have been employed in the practice of family medicine as a family practitioner for at least the past 2 years Certifications: Must have current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.License Needed:A current unrestricted license from any one of the 50 U.S. States, the District of Columbia, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands is acceptable.
