Full Time OpportunityReports to Regional Medical Director and Health Services AdministratorGraduate of accredited medical school with specialty training in psychiatryOne year clinical experienceSupervise clinical and mental health activities and medical personnel while on dutyAssess patients for diagnosis and treatment issuesTreat all patients requiring psychiatric interventionCertifies patients as necessary for inpatient hospital or acute care psychiatric facilityProvide evaluations as required by the courts, except forensic examinationsProvide appropriate therapy in individual or group therapyReview and approve all psychiatric clinical guidelinesProvide emergency psychiatric careProvide in-service education for medical and correctional staff as requestedReview segregation procedure and conditionsParticipate in review of quality of care providedParticipate in CQI, also pharmacy and therapeutics committees, as well as peer reviewsCompliance with employee standards of the Facility and Armor Correctional Health Services, Inc. Compliance includes, but is not limited to, the maintenance of a professional working environment and personal appearance consistent with professional responsibilities, development of harmonious working relationships, and timely notification of supervisory personnel of absences from the facilities
