DIRECTOR - SYLVAN C. HERMAN CENTER FOR PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION
The Sylvan C. Herman Foundation seeks a Director for a unique transitional living center for young adults with severe mental illness with or without substance abuse. The Sylvan C. Herman Center (SCHC) will be a nationally recognized model of quality and innovation, using evidence-based practices as well as other novel and individualized approaches to psychiatric rehabilitation. The SCHC will be located in Frederick County, Maryland. In Phase I, a variety of intensive treatments will be individually tailored to the needs of 8-16 clients in a residential setting. After completion of Phase I, clients may elect to participate in a Phase II program, which will involve Assertive Community Treatment and other services for individuals living in the community. The Director will play an integral role in the development of SCHC programs, and will manage employees, contracted professional services, marketing, and all other financial and administrative aspects of the SCHC.The ideal candidate for this position will have substantial executive experience in the administration of mental health services and may have a clinical, business, or administrative background.
