Attending Physician
Unique opportunity for BP/BC Emergency Medicine Physician. Due to increased volume and expansion of staff, Bridgeport Hospital, a community teaching hospital and trauma center, is looking to add new full-time attendings. We are finishing a $15 Million renovation to increase our capacity to 50 beds for our 70K patient annual census. When completed, later this year, we will have two ED radiology suites; an ED placed 64 slice CT scanner, separate Pediatric ED. Excellent specialty and subspecialty support with Yale New Haven associated residency programs. Protected time is available for clinical and academic teaching responsibilities for Yale New Haven Hospitals Integrated Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Bridgeport Hospital is a Level II Trauma Center, Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and maintains the only burn unit between New York City and Boston. As a hospital based salaried physician, in addition to a competitive salary based on experience plus RVU production incentive, the position includes 5 weeks vacation and CME time with a yearly stipend for CME, medical license fees or professional memberships. Join our stable group of 14 Board Certified physicians and 8 full time physician assistants to increase our group to 16 and work 1596 hours per year (average shift = 9hrs.) in our newly renovated and expanded Emergency Department. We are currently utilizing template charts with an electronic version in the near future and all orders are CPOE.
