POSITION:-Cardiovascular Consultants is a private practice group that directs top-rated Saint Luke´s Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City. We have 38 physicians dedicated to sub-specialty care and practice at four offices within the Kansas City metropolitan area and 10 outreach clinics across Kansas and Missouri. Our goal has always been to set the standard for quality care and provide a culture of both clinical and academic excellence. Despite the economic downturn and the uncertainties of health care, we continue to grow with new business opportunities.-The group is seeking a clinical cardiologist who will be primarily based at one of our expanding metro hospital locations, each of which has on-site coronary and peripheral angioplasty, echo and cardiac PET-CT imaging. In addition to inpatient rounding and outpatient care, responsibilities would include participating in outreach clinic and on the teaching service at the Mid America Heart Institute. -For those with subspecialty interest and training in imaging, research, women´s cardiology, vascular medicine or preventive cardiology, protected dedicated rotations are available.REQUIREMENTS:-3-year fellowship in Cardiology-Board certification in Internal Medicine required-Board eligible/certification in Cardiology requiredSALARY:-Competitive salary and benefit packagePARTNERSHIP:-After 2 years-Fast track available for experienced cardiologistsVACATION:-Year One 6 weeks-Year Two 8 weeks-Year Three 10 weeksCALL: -Shared equally among all cardiologists. On average, call includes 10 weekends of rounding annually and 3 nights monthly.
