Boys Town National Research Hospital, a nationally recognized, physician-led research hospital in Omaha, NE, is seeking a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. The hospital provides primary and secondary care through its two hospital facilities and its clinics located throughout the metropolitan Omaha area. Accredited by The Joint Commission, the hospital is dedicated to delivering leading edge surgical and clinical care, pioneering translational research, and improving the lives of children and their families through applied technology and educational outreach to rural and underserved communities. You will join an established orthopedics department that includes a pediatric surgeon, two general orthopedic surgeons, one of whom is certified in sports medicine, and a physician assistant. The hospital offers a new state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center opened in 2006 and an outpatient clinic in a medical office building connected to the surgery center which opened in 2007. Orthopedics and the hospitals other specialty services enjoy a built in source of referrals through Boys Town Pediatrics. The practice includes 26 Board Certified general pediatricians in seven clinics located throughout Omaha. Boys Town Pediatrics provides care to approximately 40,000 children annually. The call schedule would be 1:3 with no Level 1 trauma. As an employed physician, you will receive a generous three year income guarantee plus productivity and a comprehensive employee benefits plan. The hospital has an Institutional Review Board, allowing the opportunity to do clinical research.
