Faculty opportunity with the UCSF Fresno Department of Psychiatry.
The University of California San Francisco-Fresno Medical Education Program (UCSF Fresno) and Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG) are seeking candidates for two 1.0 FTE faculty positions in conjunction with the development of a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship within the UCSF Fresno Department of Psychiatry. Each faculty member will be actively involved in the development of the fellowship program and will participate in clinical and didactic teaching once the fellowship begins. Each faculty member will also provide clinical services within the mental health programs offered by the Fresno County Department of Children and Family Services, the major clinical teaching site of the fellowship. One faculty member will serve as site coordinator/clinical supervisor for the Outpatient Clinic and Intensive Services rotations; the other faculty member will serve as the site coordinator/clinical supervisor for the Juvenile Justice and Forensic rotations. The current General Psychiatry Residency Program at UCSF Fresno trains four residents per year in a four-year program. Medical students from UCSF do core and elective rotations at Community Regional Medical Center, another major educational affiliate. Fresno offers a modest cost of living with close proximity to national parks and other recreational activities. Salary and faculty appointment are commensurate with experience. Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible.
