Job Descriptions:The Cardiovascular Technologist III (Invasive) is responsible for performing exams under the direction of a physician in the cardiac catheterization lab including EP procedures; assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional procedures and to monitor the patient’s hemodynamic status throughout; perform assessment as it relates to cardiovascular disease processes. The position reports to Manager of Invasive Cardiology Services.CVPH has achieved a 2008 Healthgrades 5 Star rating for its angioplasty program and is recognized to have high Healthgrades ratings for overall cardiac services. Education/Skills Required:1. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology Program. 2. Must be licensed by the New York State Department of Health and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and maintain a current status.3. BLS and ALS required. 4. Formal Cardiovascular Tech training program graduate or equivalent with Registered Cadiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required or must acquire within six months; 5. Minimum five (5) years cardiac catheterization laboratory experience, or three (3) years interventional cardiac cath lab experience to include 2 years EP experience6. Minimum participation in 100 interventional procedures
