Chest Medicine Associates is a well-established, 14 member, practice providing Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. We are presently seeking motivated and skilled physicians interested in full or part-time opportunities with our respected, progressive and growing practice. Our group is committed to providing high quality medical care and education. Our primary inpatient facility is a 604 bed tertiary care institution with programs in all facets of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine. We direct an adult CF center, pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary rehabilitation program among others. We run an ABSM Sleep Center. Additionally, we provide administrative and e-ICU (ICU Telemedicine) services for MaineHealth, a tertiary health care system, of which Maine Medical Center (MMC), our primary inpatient facility, is a member.As of September 2009, MMC, in partnership with Tufts University, will run a medical school in Maine. Currently, MMC is a major teaching affiliate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine. We are active clinician educators for medical students, interns and residents as well as a joint PCCM Fellowship program. In partnership with Maine Medical Center Research Institute, there is a wide variety of ongoing clinical research opportunities in a Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.In addition to the collegiality and diversity of our professional practice, you will enjoy the benefits of living in a region that offers easy access to a wide variety of excellent educational, cultural, epicurean and outdoor activities as well as urban amenities. Positions are based in Portland, Maine, an accessible metropolitan city within two hours of Boston. Additionally, the area is situated along the beautiful coast of Maine while within close proximity to the lakes and mountain regions. Interested candidates should be ABIM/ACOI Board-eligible or certified in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine. Specific training in Sleep Medicine is desirable.
