POSITION SUMMARY:The Obstetric and Gynecology physician provides obstetric and gynecological services to women as part of the provider team at Crusader Clinic.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This will include but is not limited to:1.Accountable for demonstrating the qualities outlined in the Customer Service Standards of Excellence program when interacting with patients, their families and friends, and fellow employees.2.Understand and comply with the Mission Statement and Vision Statement of Crusader Clinic.3.Comply with Crusader Clinic policies4.Provide care and establish within the medical record problem lists, medication lists and records deemed necessary to longitudinally follow the patient.5.Collaborate and consult when necessary with patients, families, Crusader support staff, midlevel providers, internal and external consultants in order to provide the appropriate high level care.6.Hospitalize, participate in regular call coverage and provide needed in hospital care for all patients needing these services.7.Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities for all patients.8.Collaborate and mentor mid-level providers.9.Participate in quality improvement and assurance activities.10.Attend mandatory Crusader Clinic staff meetings and in-services.11.Complete records to the detail deemed necessary by regulatory agencies and in a timely fashion.12.Attend and participate in Crusader Health Care Association (CHCA) activities.13.Embrace and support health care change.14.Aid in the construction of a collaborative work environment.15.Maintains an adequate amount of continued medical education credits to meet licensure, hospital medical staff, health plan and skill sets necessary to provide a high level of care to patients.QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to: Speak and write the English language clearly and fluentlyProvide care to a variety of patients at an acceptable pace Perform procedures customarily performed in his/her specialty Maintain active medical staff privileges (when deemed necessary by CMO/CEO/OB-GYN department chair) at hospitals caring for Crusader Clinic patients. Must be a member in all CCA affiliated health care plans EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Education:Must have completed four (4) years of medical school as well as residency requirements which include successful completion an ABMS approved residency programMust be Board eligible upon hire and board certified within the timeframe of the practitioners primary specialtyUnrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Illinois as a MD/DOExperience:Although desired, no further experience required after meeting educational & licensure requirementsTraining:Basic Life Support certification (responsible for maintaining certification)Spanish fluency highly desired
