The VA Roseburg Healthcare System is seeking physicians who specialize in Internal Medicine or Family practice. Positions are available for Hospitalists. Candidate(s) selected will provide coverage for a 6-bed Telemetry Unit and 24 bed medical ward. Average census per provider is 10-14. These are day shift positions with minimal call responsibility. One physician (Hospitalist) position located within the Medical Service of the Dayton VA Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio. Duties will include but not limited to the following: responsible for primary and consultative physician services to acute inpatients; works closely in interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, well coordinated medical care. Applications will be accepted from US Citizens and as allowed by appropriations and statute. Permanent Full-Time - 12 hour shifts (7AM-7PM) 7 days on and 7 days off. Physician may rotate day or night shift.

Inpatient medical care (general medicine and ICU), on- call rotation, weekend rounds coverage for inpatients on rotation, attend and support meetings and PI measures and monitors. 1] Hospitalists as a team will provide in-patient coverage daily including weekends & holidays. 2] Hospitalists will work in team of two and make daily rounds with nursing & social service.3] Hospitalists will be considered as in-patient specialists and be available while on call for medical consultation. 4] Must be proficient in common medical procedures.5] Will provide stress test services to CAVHCS patients promptly. 6] Will maintain ACLS & endo tracheal intubation certification.7] Will complete all clinical reminders including up-to-date immunization. 8] Will focus on customer satisfaction, length of stay and all performance measures. 9] Will accept additional responsibilities as assigned by ACOS.

Assigned to the Medical and Surgical Specialty Care Line, the Chillicothe VA Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Physician who is Board Certified in Internal Medicine (must be ABIM certified) who has experience in treating and managing inpatient acutely ill patients. This position involves a full spectrum of inpatient care, including medical patient hospital admission in Acute Medicine, ICU and Telemetry units. This Physician will share work with other hospitalists on the units on a rotation basis. He/She will also be assigned (3 to 4 times per month) Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) evening call; no nights or weekends. Generally, duty hours are 8am to 5pm.
