Duties will include, but are not limited to: assure the most effective delivery of care in general urology, while meeting and exceeding compliance standards; perform surgical procedures; determine patient admission and discharge; evaluate and treat various conditions, illnesses, and injuries of the genitourinary system; conduct weekly clinics; answer inpatient and outpatient consultations, make referrals and recommendations for treatment and/or medication; follow care of veteran patients experiencing urological problems; perform major and minor urological procedures.Applications will be accepted from US Citizens and as allowed by appropriations and statute. Permanent Multiple Schedules (may be full-time or part-time) with availability for minimal evening and weekend call.

Central Alabama Veterans Health Administration (CAVHCS), is recruiting for one physician for a position in the Acute Care Specialties Diagnostic Services. The incumbents will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary health care team, collaborating with other members of the team to provide medical care to veterans enrolled on the team.The Urologist is expected to provide GU care through outpatient. Also provide service to clients three times a week and two days for surgical procedures. Urologist will perform common GU procedures that include Cystoscopies, TURP, TURB, Suprapubic Prostate Surgery, Ureteric Stents, Nephrostomy, Urethral Dilatation, etc. and will work under the supervision of Chief of Surgery.
