Two Cardiologists sought to join two current Duke faculty Cardiologists in community-based practice, which is part of Duke-managed heart hospital, Southeastern Heart Center.
Non-invasive, Invasive non-Interventional and/or Interventional candidates considered, due to growing general cardiology patientload, plus goal of doing Primary PCI 24/7 in the community. Ability to have academic appointment with the Division of Cardiology at Duke if so desired. Such an academic link could include clinical research, CME, teaching, etc. Duke provides practice management, including billing and collections, compliance and risk management, managed care contracting and human resources. Southeastern Regional Medical Center is a private, not for profit facility with 314 acute care beds, 115 skilled nursing beds, and a separate 33 bed psychiatric center. 11 OR suites, 24/7 hospitalist coverage, 12 bed ICU with telemetry for 16 additional beds and 6 new additional cardiac ICU beds. Hospital serves as satellite station for Duke Life Care and ED features telemedicine link to Duke.
