Montgomery Regional Hospital is located on the southern edge of Blacksburg, Virginia. The facility is a fully JCAHO-accredited, 146-bed general acute-care facility providing medical, surgical, obstetrical, pediatric, emergency, orthopaedic, and outpatient services. The Emergency Department The 16-bed, 26,000 annual volume ED has two obstetrics and gynecology exam rooms, and ENT exam room, two cardiac care rooms, two trauma rooms, and a three-bed observation area, two suture rooms, a special pediatric exam room, and a cast and splint room. This Emergency Department is a Level III Trauma Center with all of the RNs certified in Advanced Life Saving Courses (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and CEN). The Department works closely with the regional Emergency Medical Services by providing educational in-service opportunities on a monthly basis. Physician shifts: 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday), 4:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday), 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. (Monday-Friday), 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Saturday-Sunday), 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. (Saturday- Sunday). Physician Assistant shifts: 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. 1:00 a.m. EPMG is a full service medical group owned and managed by physicians.
