Geisinger Health System, located in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania, seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible, Non-invasive Cardiologist to be based at the Pearsall Heart Hospital on the campus of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, PA.About this opportunity:- Under the new leadership of Dr.John McB. Hodgson, join a system-wide team of 30 cardiologists, 6 cardiothoracic surgeons and 7 vascular surgeons- Your primary base will be at the Wilkes-Barre campus with a complement of 9 cardiologists, 4 cardiothoracic surgeons and 3 vascular surgeons- Pearsall Heart Hospital features an integrated cardiovascular practice including 3 catheterization/EP/vascular suites, cardiac imaging (Echo, nuclear, CTA, CMR), inpatient units, cardiac rehab, and a full outpatient clinic/office space- Program features include multiple outreach clinics, an accredited chest pain center including acute STEMO PCI, complex arrhythmia ablation, and the full range of coronary, vascular and structural heart interventions.- Join a visionary $2.3 billion physician-led integrated healthcare delivery system providing the full range of services from primary care to quaternary care and an insurance health planGeisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center- 177 (licensed) bed, acute /tertiary care hospital that includes the Pearsall Heart Hospital, and the Henry Cancer Center, a partnership between Geisinger Health System and Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. - $60-million Critical Care Tower expansion project underway that will include an expanded ED and new ORs equipped with robotic and interventional equipment.
