This position includes working with the Geisinger Sports Medicine Program in affiliation with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins AHL hockey team, the Wilkes-Barre Pioneers Areana Football, and several colleges, universities and local high schools. The Geisinger Health System is seeking a fellowship trained Orthopaedic traumatologist to join 2 other traumatologists at a busy level 1 trauma center. Duties include direct clinical care of complex trauma, clinical and didactic instruction of Orthopaedic residents, research and participation in the administration of a system wide trauma program. For qualified candidates, the position of chief of Orthopaedic trauma is available, entailing system wide leadership and opportunities to manage care and research efforts at our level 1 and 2 trauma centers. The Geisinger department of Orthopaedic surgery is an innovative, tertiary care department, including an accredited residency, clinical trials program, prospective fracture registries and research support staff.
