Grant Cooper & Associates has the privilege of conducting a key leadership search on behalf of the 720 physicians at Geisinger Health System and is seeking recommendations for the position of Director of Cardiology, Geisinger Wyoming Valley.Reporting to Dr. John McB. Hodgson, Cardiology Chair and Co-Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line, the selected candidate will become a key leader within the 35 physician Geisinger Medical Clinic cardiology group, overseeing clinical cardiology services delivered at Pearsall Heart Hospital and throughout the Geisinger Wyoming Valley region, playing an active role in securing the effective management and growth of the health systems Cardiovascular Service Line.Successful candidates will be physician leaders who possess:- An M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and an unrestricted state medical license- Exceptional leadership, clinical mentoring, and interpersonal skills- Strong clinical background - Experience in administration, program development and superior clinical service- Interventionalist preferred, but non-interventionalists will be considered
