Marshfield Clinic is seeking an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program Director. Marshfield Clinic is home to one of the nation’s finest private medical teaching institutions. Marshfield is the major regional referral center for most of Central and Northern Wisconsin, as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Residents and fellows are exposed to the same patient volume and diversity they would find at a busy urban medical center. Marshfield Clinic and Saint Josephs Hospital/Ministry Health Care jointly sponsor seven residency programs affiliated with the University of Wisconsin and four fellowship programs. The Internal Medicine/Pediatrics program accepts 2 residents per year. The Program Director of the Medicine-Pediatrics program must have demonstrated ability as a clinician and educator. The Program Director must be certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. The required qualifications for the leadership of this program include a history of documented participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME residency program. Previous GME administrative experience is preferred. The Program Director will be supported for up to 0.5 FTE to dedicate to the administrative activities of the internal medicine/pediatrics educational program. Additional dedicated time to attend pediatric and general medical wards and supervise resident continuity clinics is also expected.
