The Psychiatrist will be working with active duty soldiers and their families.* Sch: Monday - Friday 7:30 to 4:30 - On Call is one week out of every 4 weeks.* A current unrestricted license from any one of the 50 U.S. States, the District of Columbia, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands is acceptable.* Be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy trained in the practice of psychiatry and who has also completed an accredited residency in psychiatry.* Be board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or its equivalent. * A minimum of one year of experience (outside residency) as a Psychiatrist having diagnosed and treated various mental disorders and conditions.* Must have current BLS and DEA registration certificate.

Preferred experience/credentials: - Certified in addiction medicine by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).- Board certified in addiction psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc.- Three years of documented experience in the provision of services to persons who are addicted to alcohol or other drugs, including at least one year of experience in a pharmacotherapy program, treating narcotic addiction with a narcotic drug.

This is a newly created position designed to meet the needs of a growing program within our scope of services offered at our full service psychiatric facility. The Medical Director shall provide the supervision and direction of all services related to the Substance Abuse Program and will be responsible for all direct patient care services.
