BE/BC Pain Medicine physician to join the Department of Comprehensive Pain Care at Meadville Medical Center. Ideal candidate will be a fellowship trained Interventional Pain physician with a background in Anesthesia, PM&R or Neurology. Physician will work closely with the existing specialty physician and department medical director in a hospital based practice. New patients are waiting six weeks and longer for an appointment. Current physician is extremely busy, seeing 30+ patients per day with two physician extenders and full office staff. Major procedures include: spinal cord stimulator trials and implants, intrathecal pump trials and implants, cervical, lumbar, and thoracic radio frequency, and discograms. Minor injections include: celiac/splanchinic block, lumbar cervical and thoracic selective nerve root blocks, hypogastric plexus block, ilioinguinal nerve block, impar block, lateral femoral cutaneous nerve block, lumbar sympathetic block, cervical, lumbar, thoracic medial branch blocks, occipital nerve block, spenopalatine ganglion block, stellate ganglion block, trigger point injections, bursa injections, sacro-iliac injections, cervical, lumbar, thoracic epidural injections, and piriformis injections. Behavioral services include relaxation therapy, stress management, bio-feedback, pain management education, individual therapy and group therapy.
