The position involves in patient and outpatient care in a large health network and hospital.The pediatric cardiology team at Geisingers Janet Weis Childrens Hospital applies a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach with an extensive outreach program. The position includes leadership and administrative and clinical duties. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and managerial skills, teaching interest and ability, as well as clinical proficiency. Exceptional echocardiography skills, including Transesophageal and Intraoperative is a must. Experience and interest in caring for patients with complex congenital heart disease in fetuses, neonates, children and adults is essential.This is an opportunity to work within a vibrant and actively growing pediatric CVTS department. Programs include surgical treatment of all forms of congenital heart defects including single ventricle repairs, interventional cardiac catheterization, pediatric intensive care, adult cogenital heart disease, ECMO, and helicopter transport. GA group is expanding and looking for a fulltime EP Cardiologist to do a full range of cases including everything from noninvasive to the most complex interventional procedures. There are no EP´s in the group right now they are receiving an abundance of new cases and there is very little competition in the area. Initially, the new Electrophysiologist will spend his/her time doing a majority of EP. However, it will easily build up to 100% EP within a relatively short period of time.If the new Electrophysiologist is trained to do A-Fib Ablations, this skill is preferred.Their senior cardiologist is Chief of Cardiology at their main hospital and very well respected and very well liked.This group admits to two top-notch, state-of-the-art hospitals. However, the new Electrophysiologist will work at their main hospital, which has a new and dedicated EP lab that was established within the last two years. This hospital offers a full range of cardiovascular services with a large medical staff representing all medical and surgical specialties. It also has a very active and successful open heart surgery program and a 64 slice CT scanner. Their main office is located in the professional building of their main hospital. They also go to two other off-campus offices.Call will be equally shared with their three interventional cardiologists and will be 1:4. One of the Interventional cardiologists does some EP work.Electrophysiologists completing their EP fellowship and those already in practice will both be considered.They are a very congenial group of interventional cardiologists as well as being flexible and generous.
