CGH Medical Center is seeking a family medicine physician to join two family medicine doctors and an APN-CNP in a busy, growing practice. Physicians earn in the 75th% nationwide. You will work at one office and see patients at CGH Medical Center. The average number of patients seen per day at the clinic is 25-30. The clinic work week is 4.5 days. The physicians follow their own patients in the hospital M-F. Weekend call is 1:6 and is shared with the physicians from the Lynn Boulevard Clinic. CGH is slowly developing a hospitalist program and currently employs four hospitalists. They admit patients from the emergency department. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00A-5:00P. Saturday duties consist of 1:14 coverage of walk-in patients from 8:00A-12:00P. Nextgen is the EMR system used in the office and it is fully integrated into the hospital Cerner system. PACS is included. Projected time to develop a full practice is six months.The communities of Sterling and Rock Falls are commonly referred to as the ´Twin Cities´. With more than 25,000 residents and a drawing area of 105,000 the area offers numerous reasons to make it home. Sterling and Rock Falls are located on the 285-mile long Rock River in picturesque northwestern Illinois. The cities are 100 miles west Chicago, 55 miles southwest of Rockford, 55 miles northeast of the Illinois-Iowa Quad Cities and 70 miles north of Peoria. The public schools offer high-quality education and advanced studies can be obtained throughout the area. There is the Whiteside Area Career Center, Sauk Valley Community College and within 60 miles is Northern Illinois University-DeKalb, Augustana and Blackhawk Colleges, St. Ambrose University, Ashford University, Rockford College and several additional community colleges. New infrastructure, development and redevelopment have led to new growth along the region´s gateway corridor to I-88 in Rock Falls. The retail sector is growing and developing in both towns in addition to the already existing JC Penney, Super Center Wal Mart and Big K Mart. The Sterling Park District operates a marina, a golf course (there are four more) and an exceptional fitness center.
