Currently there are two other OB/GYNs taking call at the hospital with a new OB it would be 1 : 3. The other two OBs will participate in the recruitment so that all three of the OBs can share call. They also have a program where one of the OBs acts as Medical Director and there are two Mid Wives within the practice. The current Director will be retiring in two years and the hospital would give the new OB a chance to become part of that practice and expand their women´s services or stay in their own practice and bring on another physician. Wilson Memorial Hospital, a not-for-profit hospital in Sidney, Ohio, is currently assisting a solo OB/GYN physician from our medical staff in the recruitment of a new associate to join his practice.

The solo physician has been a part of our medical staff for the last nine year. He has a very active practice with over 10,000 active patients. He sees four to six new patients a day when he is in the office, and currently has a one in four call coverage. The office has a solid payor mix and this physician does over 170 deliveries annually at our hospital. He is currently looking for a new associate because he is about to take some extra fellowship training which will take him away from the office and make him a part-time physician for the next six months, and then he will come back into the office as a full-time physician. He would like to turn the majority of his obstetric practice over to the new physician as he will utilize his new training in GYN procedures. This practice enjoys a clinical and clerical staff that both have strong tenure in this practice. This practice does 100 percent of its deliveries at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Shelby County, Ohio where we have a 14-bed LDRP that services our community. This position would be a salaried position and partnership would be available at the end of the second year with no buy-in.
