Carilion Clinic is searching for an enthusiastic Pulmonology/Critical Care physician to join our growing multi-specialty group practice in Virginia’s New River Valley, which comprises the localities of Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Radford, and other smaller surrounding communities, altogether a population of over 180,000. We are searching for an ABMS-BC/BE in both Pulmonology and Critical Care. The optimal candidate will have a strong interest in diagnosis and management of lung cancer patients. Carilion New River Valley Medical Center has a history of continual technology advancement and innovation that includes a state-of-the-art ICU, MRI and CT scan, subspecialty support, and an Interventional Radiology Program and Bariatric Surgery Program.Qualifications: Completion of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency Fellowship training in Pulmonary/Critical Care ABMS-BE/BC in all areas Experience gained through private practice and/or military service We will accept resumes from newly trained fellowsThe practice includes hospital and outpatient consultation, bronchoscopy, critical care, ventilator support management, and CEPT. The practice is focused exclusively on Pulmonology Services. The inpatient work consists of mainly consultation/back up for pulmonary and critical care services for the Hospitalist group, which does the admitting. This results in a very desirable on-call system arrangement. The practice is located on the campus of Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, a 146 bed acute-care medical center with excellent support staff and a medical staff of 280 physicians, representing a broad range of specialists.
