Medcor is looking for a part time Physician with occupational health experience.

The Physician will provide care in the Medcor, Inc. clinic located on the Department of Energy Hanford Site near Richland, Washington. The positions primary responsibilities are to provide clinical care in an occupational/urgent care health clinic. The broad scope of services includes diagnosis and treatment of workers compensation injury and illness, urgent care, surveillance/regulatory exams and preventive services. Basic point-of-care lab and x-ray services will be available on-site. The positions responsibilities will include collaborative work with mid-level practitioners, RNs and clinic assistants. The physician will supervise mid-level practitioners. Day-to-day the Physician works in close cooperation with a Medcor regional Operations Director who has primary administrative oversight of the clinic. The position reports to the Project Medical Director. RESPONSIBILITIES: - General clinical duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following (other clinical duties may be assigned): - Provide urgent care for injuries and illnesses that present to the clinic. - Provide preventive care, e.g., work physical exams, disease management and health risk screening programs.- Provide occupational care for work-related injury and illness to employees of the Medcor client- Comply with Washington-specific Workers Compensation requirements- Advocate for both the patient/employee and employer.- Triage patients who present with injury or illness beyond the capability of the clinic to the appropriate level of care.- Discuss patient care with the patient, the patients primary care physician and other care-givers as appropriate.- Document clinical care efficiently and completely with the assistance of an electronic medical record. - The physician is required to independently care for ill and injured patients.
