Associate wanted for well-established surgical practice with very strong patient and physician referral base.

Diverse subspecialties in: wound care, sports medicine and pain management. Seeking well-trained (PSR-24/36), highly motivated, outgoing, ethical, and caring podiatrist. Digital X-ray and EMR currently is use at office.

Incumbent is responsible for providing medical and surgical treatment of injuries and disorders of the foot and ankle with comprehensive and complete podiatric medical examination for consultation, diagnosis, and treatment planning, for both inpatient and outpatient veterans. Performs biomechanical examinations with fabrication or prescribing of orthotic and shoe appliances or devices, including design of special shoes. Conducts comprehensive joint and gait analysis as related to foot and ankle, ordering x-rays/CT or MRI imaging and therapeutic procedures as appropriate. Provides treatment and management for all dermatological diseases, circulatory and neurological disorders affecting the foot including diabetic, neuropathic or vascular ulcers.Performs surgical procedures on the soft tissue and bones of the foot. Order and interpret all appropriate laboratory studies in the practice of podiatric medicine and surgery. Develops and maintains a management system for the foot care and amputation prevention team programs. Investigates and implements care management strategies for tracking and providing services of clients, including responsibility for active participation in Advance Clinic Access technique and implementation. Provides professional oversight to the Podiatry Nurse (RN) Clinic and assigns patients to that clinic as appropriate.
