Knowledge and Skills: Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is a knowledge of the principals of biological, physical, and social science; observation, assessment, intervention, evaluation, care and counsel; health teaching of persons who are ill; health or prevention of illness; administration of medications or treatments; administration, supervision, and evaluation of nursing practices, policies, and procedures; developmental (age-appropriate) nursing practices. Also required is the ability to demonstrate positive and appropriate interpersonal skills; demonstrate good time and resource management skills; demonstrate flexibility; demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills; operate unit specific equipment. Formal Education, License and Experience: The formal education normally associated with completely satisfactory performance in this job is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing; with a current licensure with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
