Apply the knowledge and skill necessary to provide appropriate interactions with staff, patients and families of all ages. Dental Assistant II & III-Assist in the delivery of comprehensive dental care to a defined patient population. Provide advanced and proficient technique and leadership skills in clinical areas.Requirements: Dental Assistant IRequired: -High school graduate or equivalent -Certification from a Dental Assisting Program -Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with the State of Washington BLS for Healthcare Providers Preferred:-Previous experience providing care to a pediatric population -Dental assisting experience with children -Dental assisting experience with medically compromised patients Dental Assistant IIRequired: -High school graduate or equivalent. -Certification from a Dental Assisting Program. -Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with the State of Washington. -Minimum three (3) years experience as a dental assistant and demonstrated competency of advanced assisting procedures. -BLS for Healthcare Providers.Preferred: -Five (5) years prior Dental Assistant experience. -Dental Assistant experience in a pediatric setting. -Dental Assistant experience with medically compromised patients. -Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), or obtain within 12 months of employment as Dental Assistant II.Dental Assistant IIIRequired: -High school graduate or equivalent-Certification from an accredited Dental Assisting Program-Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)-Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with the State of Washington-Minimum ten years experience as an advanced level dental assistant and/or demonstrated competency in advanced assisting procedures-BLS for Healthcare ProvidersPreferred: -Dental Assistant experience in a pediatric setting-Dental Assistant experience with medicallycompromised patients.At Seattle Children´s, we believe in accountability, respect and teamwork - not only with patients and their families, but also with each other.
